Born in southern California Darren LaMarr spent the first thirty-five years of his life in the promised land of that wonderful state. San Diego, Los Angeles, the high deserts, San Francisco and Seattle are all places that Darren LaMarr called home. Darren was raised in a conservative Christian religion where all but one of his friends went to the same church. Darren LaMarr attended a small four year live-in boarding school for high school that was 200 miles away from home and his parents. After High School Darren discovered he had a love of and talent for photography and started covering graduations and weddings for friends. Darren LaMarr studied computer programming at Junior College. Darren voted Republican and worked for the government as a contractor on a navy base as a computer operator and junior programmer.  Years later some of his programs were still in use on the base. The middle of wine country at Sonoma State University was where Darren LaMarr studied broadcast communications. Apparently while studying the wineries he also studied secularism and liberalism because he left college a liberal secularist. Darren LaMarr was a wedding shooter, sports package editor, live sports director, commercial copywriter, video producer and all around video person before he sold his soul and moved into middle management. Those that can no longer do manage. Darren LaMarr started eating real food at four months and started cooking as soon as he could thereafter. Darren married a woman he found in an AOL chat room. She is British and lived in London. He is American and lived in San Francisco. They worked it out and moved to Seattle. They did perhaps the best thing they ever did with their lives and added two amazing kids to their wedded bliss. And now, Darren LaMarr drives them all crazy carrying a camera around with him wherever he goes and taking pictures so that he can write his daily photo blog, www.midlifecrazyman.com .
